A SACRED WALK: DISPELLING THE FEAR OF DEATH AND CARING FOR THE DYING
Sunday, Jan. 21 at 12 PM
How do you react when you learn that a friend or a loved one has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness? Everybody wants to help, but not everybody knows what to say or do. This presentation will appeal to all generations, helping us to recognize our roles both as a caregiver and a care receiver at every stage of life.
A Stephen Minister and Leader since 1992, author, and inspirational speaker, Donna Authers will be highlighting the
caregiving insights gleaned from her special friends. Their many lessons of how to live, how to dispel our many fears, and
how to die with no regrets are captured in her book, A Sacred Walk: Dispelling the Fear of Death and Caring for the Dying.
In addition, Ron Cottrell, CEO of Hospice of the Piedmont, will explain services available through this organization in Charlottesville.
Lunch will be provided!
Please contact our Coordinator of Christian Formation to register for any of our programs, or with any questions/suggestions you might have.
