Pregnant and parenting moms in need are in our community. As Pope Francis reminds us, parishes like ours need to be “islands of mercy in the midst of the sea of indifference.”
Father Joseph Mary has asked that we as a parish consider joining a nationwide effort created by the Conference of Catholic Bishops and adopted by our diocese named: “Walking with Moms in Need.”
As part of this initiative our parish will undertake a yearlong process to assess, expand, and better communicate resources to pregnant moms and families in our local community.
We hope to incorporate the work began last year as Project Gabriel, and to include in the program an opportunity for parishioners to serve as Gabriel Angels, working with pregnant women who need loving support along their journey to motherhood.
We invite all parishioners to join us as we embark on this journey together. Our initial organizational meeting will be held after the 11am Mass on Sunday August 27th in the LL conference room. For more information, and for updates, please contact:
