IMPACT = INTERFAITH MOVEMENT PROMOTING ACTION BY CONGREGATIONS TOGETHER
IMPACT is governed by a Board of 38 members representing each participating member congregation. We define ourselves as an empowerment organization, where low-income and/or minority members currently represent half of IMPACT’s Board of Directors. 100% of the Board members make individual financial contributions to the organization. Holy Comforter is an active member of IMPACT, and since its founding in 2007 it has been working on the following issues in the community related to social justice:
- Transportation
- Dental Care
- Affordable Housing
- Pre-K Education
- Language Access/Interpretation in Law Enforcement System
- Mental Health Care
- Young Adult Unemployment & Job Training
- Homelessness
